Ryan Gosling again struggling with a role at all easy, thanks to which, once again, proves to be one of the best actors of the "new generation" of Hollywood. Madly in love with a man's life that has been built, but now he is turning his back calling him to respond. Incredible that such a talent not yet been able to establish itself at the general public but evidence has provided and how, this is just one of many. This time the do we see an absolute chameleon process, mainly due to radical external change that affects its character. Stuff that can not remain indifferent!

Michelle Williams instead of reputation has a lot more, most obtained from his participation in the television series "Dawson's Creek " which has influenced for good or evil with a whole generation, including that of the writer. His acting career has evolved gradually over the years, ringing quality films and blockbuster movies, "Brokeback Mountain ", "I'm Not There "And the more recent" Shutter Island "by Martin Scorsese. Here we find a relatively limited interpretation that has excited a great deal myself, but it certainly has convinced the Academy that put it among the nominees for Best Actress this year. It is acknowledged however that the method chosen by Williams to deal with this character was perhaps the most suitable possible, otherwise he would have risked adding or removing something, penalize too.

A good job it was surely also Derek Cianfrance director tries his hand this time perhaps with his real debut, as has previously been mainly involved in documentaries. It works well on its system of narrative, especially seasoned by numerous flashbacks that take us in the past of the protagonists raconte before and after their meeting. And it is from the flashback and their first date that comes to life (maybe) the most beautiful scene of the film.

Many (but not so much!), Even the sex scenes. Which leave little room for imagination, but which have the advantage of never being taken for granted and always functional evolution of the plot. In particular, one in which explodes the spark that breaks the camel in the room "futuristic" in the motel where Dean and Cindy spend the night that was intended to "fix" their relationship.

With a look very close to the (painful) lives of his characters, Cianfrance manufactures a very special film, no doubt valuable, in which life is complicit in destroying the dreams and illusions of a couple (maybe) for the skids. We are faced with the classic film for the general public, but this can often be a positive feature that can give more freedom in the choices made.
