How To Make A Home Made Hair Relaxer

The Speech of the King (The King's Speech) - Review

Unbelievable at times as the numbers are unnecessary. As happened in 2008 with " The Curious Case of Benjamin Button " even at the Oscars this year could be repeated again the story of the movie that remains favorite (almost) empty-handed. For the film of David Fincher were 13 nominations (3-course those at home), for "The Speech of the King " by Tom Hooper , are 12, is the super-favorite this year, but I expect (actually I hope!) that he suffered the same fate!

Bertie (Colin Firth ), second son of King George V, suffers from one particular problem is stuttering. Despite the many remedies which it has sought to make the face, has never managed to heal his "handicap", but maybe his wife Elizabeth (Helena Bonham Carter ) found the person who suits you. The speech therapist Lionel Logue ( Geoffrey Rush) who, although some use a little disrespectful behavior towards his "high" score, seems to be able to make him make good progress. Things get complicated when King George V dies and leaves the throne to his eldest son Edward VIII (Guy Pierce ) (brother of Bertie), which now appears not to be the best person to do the King was forced to resign almost immediately in order to marry the woman he loves (not very well seen from the church), it's up to Bertie (now George VI) take over the throne, all in a bad moment he sees the approaching war with Germany and to make a speech to his people.

After the movie, one wonders immediately as a similar product may be "possible film of the year." Does not involve the slightest, but the story was not bad, what should be his strong point, the relationship between a king and a speech therapist ( metaphor of the rich and poor in comparison) is not working properly as it should, the film also shows visually in a scene so cold and poor vision as to seem sloppy. Certainly a (questionable) deliberate choice, but it seems more people who see eye to assist the vision of a little film of low alloy.

And then really does not matter if the only real positive note, the film is limited to interpretations of the actors. A very good Geoffrey Rush in the role of a particular speech pathologist fan of Shakespeare. His character is not very structured but his performance for what they could do is as good (maybe the best in the film). As good, and super favorite for the statuette for best actor (at least so it seems!), Colin Firth . Very impressive work he has done in the stuttering, which finds its climax in the final speech before the end of the film (among other things, his character is also the better written!). To carry the flag in the female category Helena Bonham Carter, who once again does not stain his streak of excellent actress. It does not have a large portion of good and thick as her male colleagues, it is true, but to her great roles do not serve to prove its worth. To Guy Pierce unfortunately I can not expose myself as you see it only briefly !

Good evidence for a 'not at work (to stay on!). A real disappointment. Those who expect something special will be deeply disappointed, as well as those who expect something very good. "The Speech of the King " is an average (for this writer is medium-low!) That surely will forget quickly. If we add the fact that will also come in a few copies is likely that in our country will not go very well either, since he may not play even the weapon of the mouth (even if in the first week-end could take advantage of the strong wave of nominations received, and maybe be able to do a bit of bite people).

In conclusion, the only thing that really seems, is that the film which has received more Academy Award nominations, this year is weaker than ever. It is no exaggeration!
