Name Out The Resorts In Ecr

The Grit (True Grit) - The Review

Mattie Ross ( Hailee Steinfeld ) is a fourteen year old girl who wants revenge at all costs the death of his father betrayed and killed by the thug Tom Chaney ( Josh Brolin). Unable to carry out his plan alone, decides to entrust to the ruthless Marshal Rooster Cogburn ( Jeff Bridges), a man of very unusual methods and nicknamed by everyone " The Grit." They will join the Texas Rangers LaBoeuf ( Matt Damon), who was also interested in the capture of Chaney.

Coen Brothers are back , you take "their" Jeff Bridges and package a Western respecting all the rules of the genre without losing their manners a bit 'grotesque, which, though this time much more measured, not fail to mention. " The Grit (True Grit) " is adapted from the novel by Charles Portis , and it was was brought to the big screen in the past by Henry Hathaway ( was 1969), the time for determination was the role of the historian John Wayne . The Coen Brothers as we have already used in the past, mix the cards and denying he had done a remake of that film, much tending to emphasize that their work is much more faithful to the original work.

The fact is that in this film to emerge at all is the character of the girl Mattie. The personality, character and determination in implementing his revenge not only amaze seen those little clothes but a lot of scene stealing as the great Jeff Bridges ( that according to the film's title would be the protagonist ) and Matt Damon. And no one is astounding then when reading the list of Oscar nominated actress named Hailee Steinfeld . Maybe he can not impress you see in the list of best actress, but that's another story ( Maybe even a sign!? ). Hard to believe this is the first time for her on the big screen, but his powerful interpretation certainly not the last. Bravissima.

To make the veteran's Jeff Bridges, the 'ex Dude back to work with those who had given the pretty role in "The Big Lebowski ", and also this is where the most beautiful character in the film. What in the past had led John Wayne won an Oscar and now brings in only the great Jeff nomination. His determination, however, is wonderful. Surly, alcoholic, aged, with one eye is permanently blindfolded (so it must be because ), but always frightening and infallible when it comes to firing at the enemy. E 'player of the best scenes thanks to his unconventional behavior, his trigger-happy and his extraordinary dialogues, perfect for reminding us that we are in a Coen brothers movie.

A Matt Damon touches the figure of the Texas Rangers. When it comes to Texas Ranger is reasonable to expect the face and personality of the formidable Chuck Norris, but if this should be a poor loser is permissible to tack on another choice! Less and less prepared than its competitor Cogburn, Damon plays a Rangers very unsure of himself, but in the eyes of the little Mattie always try to make themselves more attractive by inflating his reputation. Along with Bridges to you some funny scenes in the two are trying to determine who is more interesting and better than the other. On all the stores in which launch into the air to test their own infallibility with the weapon.

along the lines of award-winning " No Country for Old ," Joel and Ethan Coen us back deserts and desolate places in America in search of a ruthless murderess and on the run (played by a short Josh Brolin). This is their version of "The Grit," which is more faithful to the novel or the 1969 movie of little interest to us, what interests us is that it works fine . The brothers know how to do in Minneapolis, their film culture (and food) is huge and feels always within each of their work ... even though they often want us to believe otherwise!
